Nipissing borders the Loring deeryard, which is the largest deeryard in the Province of Ontario.
Lake Nipissing contains over 40 different species of fish, walleye are the most abundant and sought-after species in Lake Nipissing but there are many other species including smallmouth bass, muskie (musky), yellow perch, northern pike, herring, ling, garpike and lake trout.
The south shore is a birders paradise with geese, ducks, woodpeckers, hawks, osprey, owls and eagles to name a few, spotted regularly on Fish Bay.
Turtles, rabbits, deer, moose, muskrats, beavers and other critters round out our wildlife count.
